So we order a lot of Forgeworld around here.  Our last order came in an odd format that had us scratching our heads…

Now everyone by now knows the standard Forgeworld form factor.  You get the hyper detailed – yet flexible semi bendy resin in the plastic Forgeworld bags.

Our last order contained this thing:

So some points:

1. That is the standard Finecast plastic packaging.
2. The material seems upon initial inspection to the be the less bendable finecast material.
3. This exact kit has been ordered in the past in the standard baggie form factor.

So what’s up?  Fluke, or a preparation for a ramping up of Forgeworld for distribution in stores?  With the new emphasis on the “Warhammer 40,000 Approved” logos on all the latest Forgeworld rules, and a new edition approaching… who knows what might be up.

~You all seeing anything like these in your recent orders?  If so, what is your take onthe exact material used in these compared to your finecast models on hand?
