It’s looking more with every day like Forgeworld is going to be coming to a 6th edition tabletop near you.  Here’s the latest rules updates:

First up, Forgeworld just released yet another set of 6th Edition rules updates for their range:

Now the interesting thing here is that after years of having Forgeworld treated like it was *kinda* part of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, BoLS has seen a massive groundswell of enthusiasm and support for including Forgeworld units in standard AND competitive events.  And there is a plenty good reason.

With the new aircraft, not to mention the need to counter them, and the huge reshuffling of power levels between every army out there, you can see the community devouring each codex, and then the extra Forgeworld units in an attempt to restore balance, or at least give each race something to fill various combat roles.  With certain armies only have Forgeworld options for flyers, or anti-air its easy to understand the change of heart in the community.

Here at BoLS, we’ve always loved seeing Forgeworld on the table, and nothing would bring us a bigger smile than to see all the major tournaments throw their support behind FW units.  If I were a betting man, I’d expect to see all kinds of resin goodies on tournament tables next year.  Folks, the game just got a LOT bigger!

So take some time, grab yourself some Forgeworld rules, and try to craft an army that uses some of them.  I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

~So what’s your take, and would you support standard Forgeworld Warhammer 40,000 (non Structure points/Gargantuans) on your local gaming tables?
