FOODFIGHT: What are the Best Minis Around?
I have an interesting thought experiment for you all this evening fellow gamers. What ARE the best minis out there?
Sounds easy isn’t it? There’s a catch.
The goal isn’t of course to just all shout out that Company A or Company B is the best – that would be too easy.
Instead I want you to pick the best examples of miniatures work from the following systems with the following caveats:
-Less than 2 years old
We are looking for both aesthetic design, and technical ability. Finally I want your list to include only the best single mini from each of these 6 game systems:
Warhammer 40k
Warhammer Fantasy
Warmachine
Hordes
Infinity
Oddball (impress us with your cool ability to dig up something amazing.
Take this as you chance to really sit down and look through a bunch of systems you may be unfamiliar with.
The goal of this is to not only highlight single miniatures, but trends. Tell us how far apart you think the various companies are. Is company A leagues ahead of the competition or just a smidge? Is Company B closing fast, or falling behind. Is someone the best at faces, while some else really gets monsters or vehicles? You get the picture.
I’m genuinely curious to see what the community thinks as well as what has inspired and captured our attention here at the start of 2013…
