It’s been about a month, and a new set of tidbits is here about everyone’s favorite traitor Astartes!

Regarding Codex Chaos Space Marines
-No Cult Marines in the Codex
-Few Rule changes
-Dataslates for Cult Marines, Terminators, Chosen ect. in White Dwarf
-One Chaos God per Issue (each with their own dataslates for Berzerker Termis, Plague Termis ect.)

So right off the bat, some of this is vaguely worded.  For example, it mentions “cult marines” generically, then later specifically calls out cult terminators.  So for example would plain Berzerkers and Plague Marines be in the default codex?
While I can certainly understand the desire to goose White Dwarf sales for 4 weeks, it is highly likely that these 4 Chaos Power dataslates would appear in shortly thereafter in Black Library digital editions. So we would end up with something akin to the Tyranid Codex and the three Leviathan dataslates that came right on its heels.  Remember that the Tyranid units originally unveiled in White Dwarf made later appearances in either digital dataslates, or campaign sets.
You will note that none of this touches on the non-cult legions.  After all of these years I hope that GW-HQ realizes that if they want to open the cash-floodgates, they need a 10-codex hardback CSM set – one for each legion and one for generic Renegades.
BOOM TAKE MY MONEY Nottingham – don’t you like money!
