Kit Review

I’m loving the new Ghostkeel Battlesuit. The curves on the model combined with the edges look really slick and Sci-Fi. This is a clear call back to the smaller stealth suits aesthetic. I can also appreciate the use of ball joints for the stuff like the arms and the hip sockets seem more “poseable” as well. The head also moves – we’ve seen multiple pictures of the model with different “looks” which is a plus in my book. A kit that is versatile enough to let you repose the stance and still maintain the function is always cool. Plus you can actually magnetize all the weapon systems! They don’t share parts and that is HUGE in my book. Thanks for pointing that out Iuchiban!

I’m actually okay with the $75 price-point on this guy. The kit is HUGE! It’s around the same size as a riptide but a little slimmer and sleeker. Plus the two drones are a nice touch. And that’s really the only thing that bugs me about the kit. I’m having a hard time believing this thing is a “stealth” suit. Look – I get it. It’s the future, we have psykers that can make Wraithknights and Imperial Knights “Invisible” and the Tau have fancy advanced “stealth tech” and blah, blah blah… I’m still not buying that reasoning. Not everyone will agree with me and that’s okay, too. I’m still taking a point off because I can.

It’s STILL freaking cool.

4 out of 5 stars ( -1 Star for the size. It’s almost to big to be ‘stealthy’)

I almost took off a point for having the option of an exposed cockpit instead. Who does the pilot think he/she is, a Space Marine?!?!
