Mantic: Kings of War Rulebook & Gamer Edition Overview
The other folks in Nottingham have released a new set of books for Kings of War – come take a look at the contents!
Hey BoLS Readers and KoW Maniacs, AdamHarry here with a quick overview of the two new rulebooks for Kings of War. Yes, you read that correctly TWO books! The first book is the new “Rulebook” which is a +200 page full color hard back tome. It’s packed with all the rules, units, descriptions, army lists and the backstory for all of Mantica! Very useful for any KoW enthusiast.
On the flip side is a slimmed down softcover version with “Just the facts” – no fluff. The Gamers Edition is designed with the player in mind. Both books are edited very well and are easy to navigate which is a huge plus when you’re trying to find a particular section or rule. Check them both out here:
Overall, these two books combined make a great way to get into and play Kings of War. The only feedback I really have is that I wish there was an index in the back. Then again, the book is laid out very well and things are easy enough to find so it’s not that big of a deal. If you’re playing Kings of War already and you haven’t picked up at least the rulebook you really should. It is absolutely worth getting a physical copy even if you can get most of the rules online.
