Hey all, Bahkara here for this week’s reviews!  There is plenty of stuff to listen to so lets get on with it!

Seems to be a little bit of a slow down, most likely due to the build up to Adepticon coming soon.

Forge the Narrative Episode 138 – Among the normal informative banter, the group discusses a question asked by a listener in regards to target priority in the game. The group goes into a lengthy discussion about it but does not come to a definitive conclusion. This is a good thing as they describe all  the varying factors that go into the deciding what is a high priority target.  This is a good one for new and old players, not just of 40K but almost all games, to think about how to determine what opposing units to target in their games.

Independent Characters Episode 130 – The main focus this episode is paints. They discuss using oil based paint, which I haven’t used since I was very young and 40K wasn’t even a thing yet, and then move on to talking about the different brands of paints that people use. Very helpful for anyone that isn’t familiar with the wide variety of manufacturers out there or if you’re maybe looking for a color that the manufacturer that you normally use may not have and are unaware of the range of some other companies.

Combat Phase Episode 136 – This episode they discussed the fantasy setting as a whole, not just Age of Sigmar. It’s a interesting discussion where they talk about the different types of fantasy, for example high and low fantasy, and what how some game system’s setting relate to them. A nice episode if you were curious as to what those terms means and how your particular game system fits in to them.

Battlehosts – This week they discuss ways to get the most out of your hobby. I know, on the internet, it seems like competitive 40K is everywhere and the only way to play. This can be extremely frustrating for some people. The guys discuss this and also talk about ways to get the most out of the hobby that are not related to the competitive scene. Nice discussion and information on ways to get the most out of what you got and can be applied to other game systems. I just wish they would put episode numbers.

Signals from the Frontline – Always a good listen for new and rumors on 40K and other miniature games in the industry.

Also Out This Week.
