The grimdark is vast beyond comprehension. GW can rake in the cash with these armies:

Enslavers

WHY: You know something HOT in gaming that GW hasn’t really muscled in on in 30 years? Lovecraftian Cosmic Horror.  Enslavers are just the vehicle to scratch that itch. They have lain dormant in 40K fluff since the very beginning and are feared by everyone from the Deathwatch to the Necrons. I think the Grimdark could use a new “ancient horror” so terrible pretty much everyone would be willing to join forces to stop them. It’s also a ridiculously easy army to add to the game (miniatures-wise) because of their unique nature…

Dark Mechanicus

Why: Because all the scary daemonic constructs the CSMs have are only the “crappy export stuff”.  You just know the Dark Mechanicus keep the really nasty goodies for themselves.  Think about the dark twisted reflection the Dark Eldar codex is to Craftworld Eldar. Now think about what a dark twisted reflection of the 2 Ad-mech codexes would look like!

Adeptus Arbites

Arbites 1

Why: Because Space Cops! When else are you going to get the chance to have a themed army that comes with built in theme music! You can show up to the table blasting “Bad Boys” and use Blue and Red Strobe lights to mess with your opponent. Tactically questionable? Absolutely. Rave inducing? Guaranteed!

Hrud

Why: Lots of reasons! This is one of the earliest records of the Hrud – notice the small stature ad the tail? Very Rodent-like! There have been some awesome conversions of Space Rats over the years and I would love to see the Hrud get a full on army treatment for Sci-Fi Space Ratmen!

FUSILIERS

They have changed over time into some weird Sci-fi boogey man type – but I still like the ratmen version the best!

The Demiurg

Demiurg_Bastion_Class

Why: Because Space-Miners! It’s not like we’ve ever had those in 40k before. I think it’s time for a comeback of the short, mining types with heavy armor and a bad attitude! Forge World already started with this model for Battlefleet Gothic – so make some ground-pounders and lets get this party started! Admit it – it’s time to throw the Squat-Clock into a dumpster behind Nottingham HQ and get the stunties back. Let’s DO THIS!

What do you think? What Army would you love to see make a comeback-for-the-first-time? Any Xenos race that you’ve been dying to see on the table? Let us know in the comments below!
