Often deployed in situations requiring the heaviest of weapons the Legio Custodes could bring to bear, the Caladius pattern Grav-Tank. Utilising technologies and systems derived not only from the Dark Age of Technology, but from developments made as a result of the Great Crusade’s two centuries of warfare, the Caladius was well-protected and highly manoeuvrable, perhaps the most powerful battleline armoured unit of its size in the Imperium’s forces.

The principal armament of the Caladius is the double-barrelled Iliastus accelerator cannon, an advanced weapon which was to become the precursor to the main weapon of the Legiones Astartes Sicaran Battle Tank. The Grav-Tank is also armed with a twin-linked Lastrum bolt cannon, exemplars of bolt-weapon technology whose bolt shells are customised mass-reactive heliothermic warheads, hand crafted by the artisan weaponsmiths of the Lastrum Core Clan on Terra.

The Legio Custodes Caladius Grav-Tank is a complete, multi-part resin kit.

Death Guard Deathshroud Power Scythes £12

99550102253_dgdeathshroudpwrscythes01

Weapons uniquely styled for the Death Guard Legion, Deathshroud Power Scythes are far deadlier than their ancient forebears. Their unique design enables the wielder to attack with a reaping blow that slices through armour and flesh alike. Often carried by Deathshroud Terminator units, Power Scythes were also wielded by the Commanders and Sergeants of the Legion.

Emperor’s Children Phoenix Power Spears £12

Patterned in imitation of the deadly and arcane power halberds wielded by the Legio Custodes, these elegant power blades are hugely lethal weapons in their own right. As well as the lightning-swift Phoenix Terminators, Phoenix power spears were a the weapon of choice among the most experienced Sergeants and Commanders in the Legion.

Your eyes are not deciving you – if you order the Grav-Tank/Squad Combo you do get the same sprues from the Burning of Prospero box. It’s only a matter of time before we see those sold in a stand alone box at this point. Anyone want to take bets on how long it will be until we get a full Custodes army? Well don’t go too crazy – Imperial Agents is coming soon. I wonder what’s going to be in that book…

Let’s also not forget that the Heresy-Era got some more love this weekend too! Those new weapon options look great and we also have this tidbit from the Warhammer-Community site:

“Full rules for the Adeptus Custodes will be included in the next Horus Heresy book ‘Inferno’, which will be released next year.”

Next year is only a couple of weeks away – I’ll chalk that one up as a late Christmas present.

Anyone else wanting to recreate the Siege of Terra? Custodes & Heresy – full steam ahead!
