Nathan Richardsson, Noah Ward, and Katie Fleming recently gave a Production Update (Ork Skarboy Kommando), answered Q&A, then hosted Glorious DJ Penguin’s 2,000th hour show!

This is great news for fans who have been waiting for the Elite units to join the fray. The Kommando, Terminator and other units were supposed to be added much sooner, but as most folks know with game development, it doesn’t always work out as planned. However, the developers are working on new stuff and if you remember from last week we got an even better idea of how their dev-cycle works.
Earlier this week the Dev team also sent out a new “State of the Crusade” with some new numbers to chew on:

We are so happy with the reception of the free version. The takeaway is that when we start marketing, have multiple ways to play, continuously update the game for free, the numbers reflect that in a positive way, to say the least.

The post goes on to explain a lot of the information that was in the previous stream and how they are working on the game. It’s a good look at what it’s like to work on a game or to work in the gaming industry.
Overall, it seems like moving the game to a free version with the option to purchase more has really helped out the game for multiple reasons. Also, if you aren’t aware, the free version does allow for you to play any race – it’s not limited to just playing as an Ork. So what are you waiting for?
