Games Workshop has some brand new Army Rosters to download – and they are absolutely free!

There are a million and one ways to write down your army lists for 40k. There are some popular options and Games Workshop even has a digital version for Age of Sigmar with another one coming for 40k soon. But if you’re of a pen-and-paper army builder Games Workshop has a new set of Army Rosters for both AoS: Skirmish and Warhammer 40k:

Warhammer 40,000 Army Roster

“We’re sharing a downloadable army roster to help you with building your army lists for Warhammer 40,000, specially formatted for quick reference during your games, making it easy to manage detachments, check wargear and organise your forces.”

AoS: Skirmish Warband Roster

“You may recognise this from the back of the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Skirmish rulebook, and it’s formatted so that you’ll be able to check your wargear and warscrolls at a glance.”

These rosters are pretty straight forward and concise. They should make referencing your forces pretty easy! I also appreciate that they 40k ones have points listed out by number of models, wargear, and total. These rosters will certainly help keep everything organized for my lists – there are even slots for Command Points and Warlord Traits. I would have liked to see a spot for Power Level as I find that number to be a good gauge of a unit’s potential on the tabletop. Then again, the Points are a more granular version of that anyways.

The 40k Roster will be very helpful for matched play. I’m going to print off a couple and use them for my next Tyranid Lists – my last format wasn’t very handy for my opponent:

I mean, it made perfect sense to ME. I don’t know what the big deal was…
