At PAX Unplugged we got a sneak peek at the next Plane Shift Adventure for D&D.

That’s right friends, thanks to user Morrus over at EN World, we’ve got a look at some of the D&D Adventures that were teased at PAX Unplugged this past weekend. Photos presented courtesy of Robert Adducci, they show the teaser for the upcoming Plane Shift: Ixalan Adventure. Now Ixalan seems a particularly appropriate plane from Magic: The Gathering to explore right now, because much like the jungles of Chult, Ixalan is filled with Dinosaurs and magic and armord magic dinosaurs.

I love the setting, it’s very Mesoamerican with lots of magitech and high adventure–it feels very much like they have been inspired by the adventure-y feel of the Tomb of Annihilation. So if you like getting some D&D in your Magic, or some Magic in your D&D, you’re going to want to keep an eye out for X Marks the Spot.

X Marks the Spot

A prison escape for an unlikely group of heroes turns into a race for an ancient relic sought by the Legion of Dusk. Can you brave the unknown and capture the treasure before the enemy does? This Dungeons & Dragons adventure is set on the plane of Ixalan from Magic: The Gathering. It uses 4th-level characters provided with the adventure.

There’s the front and back cover, but wait there’s more, because we also have a look at one of the monsters included on the inside. Take a look at their rendition of everyone’s favorite goat sucker, the Chupacabra.

The Chupa Cabra has everything you’d want. Sunlight Sensitivity and a Bite attack that knocks creatures prone if they’re hit and a blood draining attack, which I’m going to guess does some piercing damage and also either heals it, reduces hit point maximum by 5, or both.

These Plane Shift products are kind of amazing, and they feature the inspiring art you’ve come to know and love from your Magic the Gathering D&D Jetsons and the Flintstones crossover spectaculars. We’ve previously seen Amonkhet and Kaladesh and Zendikar, all of which are delicious.
