Games Workshop is teasing the fletching out of this rumor engine!

via Warhammer Community

We’re all a-quiver about this week’s Rumour Engine. Got an idea of what it might be?

That is a fancy quiver! Now, lots of factions use arrows in Age of Sigmar so that’s the obvious starting point.

Judicators from the Stormcasts use arrows – but notice their arrows don’t have fletching…

The Kurnoth Hunters also use arrows but you can see their fletching is leaves – and also they have quiver-beetles which are kinda cool…

This sisters of Avelorn are another example of a unit that uses Bows & Arrows – but their arrows are magical…no need for a quiver I suppose.

The Glade Guard definitely use “Real Arrows” and made of wood and also have quivers on their models. But what if those aren’t arrows – but are Bolts…as in crossbow bolts…

The quiver is ornate…and it’s kind of spikey/stabby looking…it would certainly fit the aesthetic of the army formerly known as Dark Elves. And they have been kinda of “Mysterious” lately. And Gav Thrope did say this during his AMA:

Aslum: Hi Gav, I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to know, when is Slaanesh/Emperor’s Children going to get some love (40k or AoS)? Khorne and Nurgle are constantly getting new units and fluff, and recently Tzeentch got a bunch of new releases (partially spurred by Silver Tower). Meanwhile Slaanesh has been practically fridged in Age of Sigmar and has a big target on her head from the Ynnari in 40k.

Sorry. I don’t have any scoop for you on that front. The order you have described is the same as the sales popularity of the gods (or was when I worked in the Studio) so Khorne and Nurgle have usually been top of the heap in terms of favour (ha!). I don’t know what’s happening with the Prince of Pleasure in AoS but I’m hoping the darling goddess will return with a bang!

With other power-specific codexes and armies being released, I figure Slaanesh will be along at some point, but don’t know when.

Maybe this could be something to do with the Aelves in AoS and the return of Slaanesh? How cool would that reveal be?
