Warhammer 40K

Back for a limited time the Dark Elves head to the Warhammer Legends. Plus Deathwatch is up for Pre-order along with the Akhelian Leviadon!

via Games Workshop

Akhelian Leviadon $115

Shrugging off enemy missiles, the Akhelian Leviadon plunges into the fray. Scythed fins dismember foes while the beast’s powerful jaws clamp down with enough force to crush tempered steel. Should the aelves on its back come under assault, they strike out with hooks and blades, while the Ma’harr, the master of the reins and a high-ranking Akhelian, impales foes on his twin-pronged spear. Protected by its thick scales and nigh-impenetrable shell, the Leviadon acts as an indomitable anchor point in an Idoneth phalanx. Whether used as a living battering ram or as a mobile weapons platform, these enormous bond-beasts have proven themselves in battle time and again.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble an Akhelian Leviadon. A large centrepiece model, it looms large above the Thralls and Reavers of an Idoneth army. 6 fins, 3 either side, propel it through the phantasmal seas; the frontmost pair of these are fitted with segmented blades, with the others featuring smaller but equally effective spurs, and each pair – along with the tail section, also fitted with piercing spurs – can be modelled in differing positions allowing for the illusion of flowing movement. Its head features an aggressive profile, with horns and spikes (and the option of a closed or open mouth), but the most notable feature is the blinders and chains – this beast is enslaved to the Ma’harr who stands to the front of the howdah, guiding it into battle. 2 crew either side each man a razorshell harpoon launcher and a Void Drummer – whose insistent pounding beat distorts light itself, providing cover from enemy fire – stands at the back.

The Leviadon includes a host of accessories for adding detail – 13 items, including bottles, jars, bags, lamp cases, cauldrons and nets. These accessories make perfect additions to the howdah, providing a lived-in atmosphere.

This kit comes as 90 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 120x92mm Oval base, and a 75mm flying stem.

Codex: Deathwatch $40

The elite amongst the elite, carefully selected and recruited for their exceptional abilities, the Deathwatch are a thin black line, a sentinel that stands between the Imperium and alien threats unimaginable. Always outnumbered – such is the staggering scale of the hordes they face – this noble brotherhood has stood stout against countless invasions, and will face countless more. Organised into small, elite companies plucked from Space Marine Chapters that have pledged a tithe of their strength in the struggle against the alien, the Deathwatch counts only heroes amongst its ranks. Each member has been hailed as an expert in his field even before his training as a Deathwatch operator has begun. His armour painted the blackest of hues, his Chapter icon intact upon his pauldron as a mark of respect to the Chapter that made him, the Deathwatch Space Marine and his highly-specialised Kill Team descend to the edge of destruction, there to repel whatever dire threat they face.

Codex: Deathwatch Collector’s Edition $80

Available while stocks last, this Collector’s Edition of Codex: Deathwatch is complete and unabridged, and features a soft touch cover with new artwork on the front and back, black page edges, a black ribbon marker and the original Codex cover art on the first page.

Watch Captain Artemis $25

Watch Captain Artemis is a warrior born. Mastering the arts of battle as a mortal, then a Space Marine, and finally as an officer of the Deathwatch, he has become a supreme weapon in the fight against the xenos. Artemis fights with a thrumming power sword and a lethal combi-bolter known as Hellfire Extremis, and carries a stasis bomb as a weapon of last resort. He has been instrumental in many great victories, playing a critical role in triggering the civil war that destroyed Waaagh! Thrashfang, and in defeating the Enslaver plague on Tarrenthorst with a cyclonic barrage; most recently (and infamously) battling the ancient Aeldari seer Eldrad Ulthran on the crystal moon of Coheria. There is no doubt in Artemis’ mind that he does what is necessary to honour the Emperor.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Watch Captain Artemis. Clad in Mk VIII power armour, he is posed lunging forward, ever eager to lead from the front and attack with maximum aggression – an attitude that has landed him in trouble even with his superiors. His right hand holds Hellfire Extremis, a large combi-bolter which fires bursts of alchemical poison deadly to all life, and his left holds his exquisitely-detailed power sword before him. Attached to his back, behind the flowing cloak typical of a Deathwatch Captain, is the tank containing the acid that Hellfire Extremis spits, with an iron Deathwatch icon above that looming over Artemis’ head (itself featuring a furious and determined expression….)

This kit comes as 7 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 32mm Round base.
