A new wrinkle in the No Stone Unturned mystery has occurred. The arrival of none other than Volo himself on Twitter, having regained his memories. Read on to find what else has developed. Leave #NoStoneUnturned.

That’s right, the legendary explorer, writer of many a guide, and of course raconteur extraordinaire, Volothamp Geddarm has made an appearance in the #NoStoneUnturned mystery now. Having regained his memories, Twitter user Adam Glover has revealed themselves to be none other than Volo–but this has only led to more clues and more mysteries.

You can find the latest clues at the end of this post–but if you’re not sure what’s going on, here’s a quick primer on why the internet is leaving #NoStoneUnturned:

When Wizards of the Coast announced the Stream of Many Eyes, at the bottom of the announcement was a hashtag spelled out in Morse Code: # -. — / … – — -. . / ..- -. – ..- .-. -. . -.. or #NoStoneUnturned. The next day, a strange Twitter account showed up @Immortal4tress, which claimed to be an agent of The Sage of Shadowdale, aka Elminster. From there things take an even stranger turn, with mysterious incantations and clues that point to a relatively new Yelp Reviewer that points people towards certain sites, including many a Friendly Local Game Store.

via Elminster?

It all starts with a few tweets that outline what exactly the Immortal Fortress is after: a Stone–some kind of artifact that is surely to be of great importance in the coming storyline.

As for what this stone does, it acts as a repository for knowledge and secrets of the past:

Which makes it sound like a powerful artifact indeed. There are a few other clues that are to be deciphered. For one, there’s a related account @Glovers_Travels, which is linked to a Yelp Reviewer account, Adam G, though he uses an interesting system of reviews, which involves Daggers, Pipes, Tankards, and Coins…which hmm where have we seen that before?

And now he’s got his memories back and is ready to help the internet solve mysteries. And more and more missives from Elminster are making their way into the real world.

It seems like there are 5 crests so far:

  • Dot (2 pieces)
  • Drop (1 piece)
  • Horseshoe (1 piece)
  • Infinite (1 piece)
  • Septagon (2 pieces)

No news on the missing 8 pieces yet–but with more keys showing up, and Elminster’s agents crashing Satine Phoenix’ stream to deliver this:

There’s a whole lot to try and aggregate. Especially since Elminster is, apparently, upon our popular culture:

Each one of these corresponds to a band name, which may or may not have been identified correctly (there seems to be some discrepancy between what’s up on Immortal Fortress’ twitter and ImmortalFortress.com…

What all of this means, I don’t know yet. But the mystery seems to be nearing an end. Who will solve the riddle? What lies at its end? Will all the secrets come out before June 1st?

Tune in next week, same internet-time, same internet-channel.
