The Rebel Alliance is built on grit, guts, and the courage of its members.

Unlike the Empire, which tends to revel in the power of its technological terrors, the Rebellion lacks the backing of a massive galactic government. Without access to massive walkers, or the advanced armors the Alliance but make due with grit and the will of its troopers to carry on. Drawing its members from all walks of life and from many races its infantry, when led by able commanders, can overcome any difficulty.  With that in mind I set out to build a list using as much Rebel infantry as possible.

The Idea

Now and Leia and the Fleet Troopers have come out the Rebels have access to two types of corps infantry and a good commander for them. Leia is an excellent infantry commander, with some great support abilities. Using her and as many infantry as I take I’ve built an aggressive horde infantry list. Lets take a look.

Tactics

With 39 models this list is about as large of an army as you can take in Legion. While it’s size gives it power, its also going to have to be a very aggressive list. In essence this list is divided into three waves. Using them together is the key to victory.

The first wave is the two AT-RTs. Both armed with Flame Throwers these units have to close with the enemy as quickly as possible. They are highly dangerous to enemy infantry and most likely will draw a lot of enemy fire. Don’t expect these two to survive, but if you can get them in there they will be able to wreak havok on the enemy, and draw fire from your more squishy infantry.

The 2nd wave is the Fleet Troopers. While longer ranged than the flame thrower AT-RTs these guys still need to get close to be useful.  These guys are here to clean up enemy infantry that survive the AT-RTs. They can throw out a lot of dice with their guns. Get in the enemy’s face and chew up their infantry.

The final wave is going to be Leia and the 4 units of Rebel Troopers. With longer range the Rebel troopers don’t have to get as close as your other units. Still you’ll want to push them forward to keep the first two waves supported. These guys are going to be your anti-vehicle units. With a total of 4 Ion Troopers they can shut down enemy armor with relative easy. Keep heavy units, like the AT-ST, ion’ed while you close in to finish them off with impact grenades. These units can shot and aim on their own, and hopefullu get dodges from Leia.

Working Together For Victory

There is a certain strength in numbers. This list has the numbers to take losses and keep going. By using the three waves of this army together you can overwhelm and destroy your enemy. Infantry and grit, not massive walkers or devotion to ancient religions, will win the day.

Let us know what your horde list looks like, down in the comments.
