Whether you are looking for a new game, playing Frostgrave, 9th Age or any other game, you have got to check this Kickstarter out!!! The models look gorgeous and could likely be used in most systems that you play!

As a person that keeps his eye on the gaming market, there are a lot of options that capture my eye. Most recently, Fireforge Games caught my eye with their new Kickstarter, Forgotten World. Not much is known at this time about the gaming system that goes with the world, but the miniatures are hot!!!

As a note, all images in this post are by Fireforge Games and used with their permission. The Minis may still be subject to change. Be sure to check out there Kickstarter campaign before October 20th, 2018.

The Northmen

Currently there are three, perhaps four, boxes of plastic miniatures planned for the Northmen faction. These beauties could be used in Forgotten World (the game they are intended for) or any number of other games including Frostgrave, Dragon Rampant, and Kings of War.

Forgotten World Warriors

These are a number of warriors built out of their Warrior plastic kit. They come with options for swords, spears and shields or two-handed spears. There is also a command sprue that comes with them.

Fireforge Games Bowmen

This is the Bowmen. There are no crossbows on the sprues, but there are enough bows to arm everyone with them. There is even an option for flaming arrows.

Forgotten World Calvary

The Northmen Calvary look pretty fierce.

This final set, I am not 100% sure if they will count as Northmen, but they are humans. As one of the Kickstarter goals, Fireforge Games plans to give their Zombie Peasants a Human treatment. So Cool!!!

Townsmen miniatures

This Kickstarter Goal is really cool! If you saw my original post on Must Contain Minis about this campaign, you may notice that the price point for this goal is changed for the better.  🙂

Don’t these miniatures all look awesome so far?! Let’s check out the Undead now.

The Living Dead

Like the Northmen, there are three plastic boxed sets currently planned for the Living Dead faction. These guys are cool too for any of you Necromancers out there!

Forgotten Wolrd Living Dead Warriors

The Undead Warriors. Pretty Creepy. 🙂

Zombie Townsmen Miniatures

These are some of my favorite looking minis of the campaign. The Undead Peasants. I feel sorry for these guys.

Living Dead Skeleton Knight miniatures

The Undead Knights (with Undead Dogs).

I think a friend of mine is getting in on a Living Dead Force and I am really looking forward to seeing how these miniatures look when the project is over.

Fitting in With Other Minis…

I believe that the guys at Fireforge realize that people want to get creative with this great looking range of figures. On the Kickstarter Page is a scale comparison picture repeated here.

Forgotten World Scale Comparison

You might recognize some of the figures shown here for scale purposes. Notice that Fireforge also makes a Historical Range of figures. They are actually fairly well known for that.

In addition to the fantasy miniatures they are publishing with this Kickstarter, Fireforge Games is offering discounts on their plastic Historical Kits.

Fireforge Games Products are offered at a Discount through the Forgotten World Kickstarter Campaign.

If you are interested in Kitbashing, below is an example of what the guys from Fireforge Games did with some of their current kits and parts from the Kickstarter kits.

Wrapping it up…

If you like what you have seen in this preview article, head on over to the Forgotten World Kickstarter Page and check it out. There are also a number of exciting Stretch Goals announced and two versions of a new game. A Skirmish Game (which I am interested in) and a Mass Battle Game too.

The Forgotten World Starter Kit. Lots of minis there and rules too!
