There’ve been a lot of rumors, but as of now we’ve got the Ork Vehicle stats confirmed. Here are the official breakdowns of weapons, stratagems, and the like that shed some light on the shadowy rumors floating around out there, including the as-yet unseen Megatrakk Scrapjet and Boomdakka Snazwagon.

Put on your lederhosen and grab your favorite boyz, because it’s an Orktoberfest miracle. Today we’ve not only got official confirmation for what you can expect out of the Kustom Boosta-Blasta, Shockjump Dragsta, and the Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy, but we’ve also got a sneak peek at what will be coming on the Megatrakk Scrapjet and the Boomdakka Snazwagon. How much Dakka do you want? These new buggies might not have enough–but they do come close.

Alright you know the drill by now. Five new vehicles, each with its own rule. But did you know that Speed Freeks is also its own rule? It’s a special keyword that will be appearing in the Ork Codex, and can be found on all the new Ork vehicles plus a few old ones, I’m sure, which will enable them to benefit from special Speed Freeks stratagems as well as the new Speedwaaagh! rule.

And given how fast those vehicles are, that’s a pretty sweet boost for vehicles to have going for them. This opens up that fast/light cavalry role for the Orks, letting them smash through flanks with aplomb, especially since they’ll have some defensive stratagems to help them close the gap unscathed. Y’know. For Orks.

And since many of the vehicles will have some kind of melee weapons with them–such as the Megatrakk Scrapjet which has both an incredibly powerful Rokkit Kannon, and that giant turbine drill…

…they’ll have little difficulty chewing through most things. Especially if the Megatrakk Scrapjet follows the same statline as the other new vehicles and comes in at Strength 5, though it’s beefy enough that I wouldn’t be surprised to see it have a Strength 6 or 8 in there as well.

And we did get confirmation that these are downed Dakkajets given another chance, because you don’t always need wings to fly.

The Megatrakk Scrapjet is a truly vicious Ork vehicle, excelling at scrapping enemy tanks or turning foes into coleslaw with its drill. Designed by enterprising Meks from downed Dakkajets and piloted by grounded Flyboyz, these vehicles are just as deadly as their aerial counterparts.

The Boomdakka Snazwagon, on the other hand, is a gunboat and then some. If you want loads of Dakka, this gun comes loaded for bear, capable of spitting out 25 shots if you can get within 6″ of your target.

The Mek Speshul in particular looks like a great way to shift out dug in infantry, especially comboed with the Burna Bottles. And the Snazwagon will be difficult to take down since it’s got Billowing Fumes that can combine with the exhaust clouds.

Plus it explodes on a 4+ out to a d6″ radius, so you’ll benefit continually from having it up near your enemies, which is an interesting place for a vehicle to be.

The Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy gets its weapons list confirmed right there in green and white.

Everything tracks with the leaks from before. Same goes with the Boosta-Blasta and the Shockjump Dragsta.

And of course you’ve got the Shokk Tunnel as well, which lets you redeploy if you roll a 4+ when advancing, but you take a mortal wound on a 4+ after the jump.

All in all, these new vehicles are looking pretty solid. Maybe the Green Tide really is coming back in.

What do you think of the new vehicles? Which one seems to be taking the lead in your army?
