The Freebooterz are a notorious bunch of pirates and flash gitz, full of more eccentrics than an Ork can shake a stick at–and that’s a lot. At least six. We’ve got a look at their rules today.

Orks are notoriously social creatures. So much so that even their most rugged individuals, or most devout iconoclasts and eccentrics are driven to mob up with each other. This motley collection of individual Ork weirdos and lads what ain’t got their ‘ead on right leave behind the comfort and kultur of one of the Clans, only to adopt a new Clan all their own: the Freebooterz.

If there is one thing that Freebooterz love, it’s killing. If there are two things they love, it’s killing for money and being the best. They combine these two loves into a Clan Kultur that lends them an edge. Once the killing starts, it just gets easier and easier.

With a +1 to hit every time you wipe out a unit, you’ll make sure your lads hit the hardest when they need to. This is a strong rule–especially if you can position your boyz to take the most advantage of this. Get in there with something cheap to finish off a weakened unit and you might find yourself chaining that +1 all the way down your battleline as the Competitive Streak spreads a full 24″ everytime a unit destroys something.

And destroying stuff is getting easier, thanks to units like the Flash Gitz, notorious Freebooterz themselves, getting a buff in the latest codex.

With an extra point of Strength AND Damage, their guns will hit harder. You know, once someone actually kills something and they decide to actually aim before they fire.

And you’ll really be feeling that +1 to hit when you unload with the new and improved Gunwagon.

The Gunwagon is a new datasheet designed to make the most of the Battlewagon kit. As any of you who’ve built one of these towering mobile fortresses can attest, the Battlewagon is unbelievably customisable – so much so that it’s been split into three separate unit entries, each with a different role. The original Battlewagon is still the great transport it always was, the Bonebreaka is a front-line spearhead vehicle, and the Gunwagon is the closest thing the Orks have to a battle tank, capable of firing twice with its Periscope ability.

So basically you can turn your Gunwagons into Looted Leman Russes, which shows that the Orks will not be outdone. Doubly so when you include their new vehicle-centric stratagem, which seems highly appropriate to a bunch of Orkish pirates.

And that’s the last of the Ork Clan Kulturs at last. So now we’ve seen all seven of the six Ork Clans, with the others being Goffs, Blood Axes, Bad Moons, Evil Sunz, Deathskulls, and Snakebitez. The Freebooterz are a Clan too, just don’t tell them we said that.

Enjoy. Now that we’ve seen them all, which one is the best? Which one is the worst? Let us know in the comments.
