Everyone and their brother will want Havoc squads of quad Reaper Chaincannons. Here’s how to convert some up fast and easy.

The Reaper Chaincannon is awesome!

But there is only one problem. The Havoc boxed set contains 9 heavy weapons, but only 1 of the new sexy chaincannons.  Not a problem. Let’s get converting.

The Basic Conversion

Take a look at the Havoc picture. Notice the similarity of the stance, ammobelt and overall main weapon housing of the Chaincannon and the Heavy Bolter.  This is important, because HBs are easy to find. You get two in the Havoc box, and another in the standard CSM box. The basic conversion is to take Heavy Bolters, snip off their short barrel, and replace it with anything that looks like a multi-barreled vulcan cannon.

The Bitz Candidates

Looking around the range, we found several candidates, and you probably only need a few.

Obliterators

Take the cannon up-top of the model on the left, and replace it with any barrel from a weapon that fires shells. Autocannons, or HB bolters would look great on the new Oblits.

Thousand Sons

Take the Soulreaper Cannons from either Rubrics or Scarab Occult for that extra chaosy look.

Assault Cannons

There are Assault Cannons and vulcan style weapons scattered all over the Imperial Range. You can grab them from Terminators, from Corvus Blackstars, from Tauroxes, to multiple Marine flyers.

I bet you probably have a few bits just lying around your sprue pile. You’ll be fielding quad Reaper Chaincannon Havoc’s in no time and throwing insane firepower downrange!

~Happy converting! (& DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR)
