40K Retro Corner: Index Astartes Vol. IV
The Retro Corner returns from the vault with the final part of our Index Astartes series!
It’s the final part of the Index Astartes series with Volume IV. In case you missed them, we’ve already gone through both Volume I, Volume II, and Volume III.
Index Astartes Vol. IV covers the final Astartes Legions. We get a closer look at The Sons of Horus (Black Legion), Word Bearers, Salamanders, Raven Guard, and Alpha Legion. We also get more info on the Crimson Fists Chapter as well. Just like the other books in the series, this one follows the same format – it covers each legion and their history, colors, battle tactics, their war cry and more. This entire series has been a blast to revisit as we’ve gotten a look all Traitor and Loyalist Legions.
As for the “extra” articles that are included in this compilation, we have “Deep Strike” – an article about Tactical Dreadnought Armour (aka Terminator Armour), “Rogue Sons” – an article on Renegade Space Marine Chapters, and finally “Armoured Hunter” – a closer look at the Space Marine Predator. While the Predator might not be in the best shape in modern 40k, this article is still pretty cool – if nothing else just to see the internals of a Predator!
