The Emperor’s Golden Boys are coming to Kill Team along with the rest of the heavy lifters of the Imperium – check out their rules!

This week Games Workshop has been showcasing some of the new rules for Kill Team Elites. We’ve gotten a look at the Xenos Factions and the Chaos Factions. Today, it’s all about the Imperium!

Adeptus Astartes

Get ready for a ton of Chapter Tactics to choose from! These might not be 1:1 translation from their codex, but they have the same theme. Here are two examples with the Imperial Fists and Dark Angels:

It’s not just Chapter Tactics either. Get ready for all your characters, vets, vanguards, and TERMINATORS to take to the field. That includes the new Vanguard options like Infiltrators, Eliminators, and Suppressors – the latter of which will bring their accelerator autocannons to bear:

And speaking of those Vanguard marines, with all those camo cloaks and stealth training, you’ll be able to set them up in Concealed Positions:

Deathwatch

The Deathwatch are the Elite of the Astartes and they are used to these Kill Team Missions. But Terminator Armour options aren’t the only thing getting added – they are getting their highly adaptable Missions Tactics for use in Kill Team:

Grey Knights

These psychically attuned warriors are getting their own Brotherhood of Psykers ability that mirrors the Thousand Sons:

They will also be able to run their Terminator Armour clad warriors as well as those pesky 3-Wound Paladins! They promise to be a tough Kill Team on the tabletop.

Adeptus Mechanicus

The Ad Mech aren’t getting Terminators – but they are getting Electro-Priests who can amp up the damage in close quarters! Especially with their Siphoned Vigour rule:

Plus, the Mechanicus are bringing their Dogmas out to play:

Astra Militarum

The Anvil of the Emperor is going to represent on the tabletop with their Regimental Doctrines and more:

If you’re looking to bring the Beef, then look no further than Ogryns who are joining the fight with their Ripper Guns. Their Bullgryn brothers are bringing hefty Slabshields as well:

Sly Marbo

“Oh, and did we mention SLY MARBO?! We won’t ruin the surprise about how good he is (though, suffice it to say, he’s a Level 4 in the Legendary Hunter specialism), but we will show you a hint at how much of a game-changer he can be…”

And in case you were wondering, yes – he’s WS 2+.

Adeptus Custodes

The Adeptus Custodes are going to be on the scene and I have a feeling they are going to put up quite the fight. They are the Emperor’s Chosen after-all:

Their Spark of Divinity is just one of their many tactics they will also get access to – get ready to shut down those pesky warp-slingers:

In terms of unit options, they are going to have Custodian Guard, Allarus Custodians, and the mighty Shield-Captains as a Commander for starters! All of those warriors are going to be able to go toe-to-toe with just about any enemy Commander, much less the grunts of their faction. And even when they are wounded they are still going to fight at full strength:

That’s it for this preview – now that we’ve gotten a hint at what each faction is bringing, who are you MOST worried about facing?
