Druanti’s Wraithkin are rising up to defend their sylvan glades from the encroaching Looncurse–and at the head of them, the Arch-Revenant.

Looncurse came out this weekend, and today we’re taking a look at the Sylvaneth portion of the set. We’ve got rules for the Sylvaneth’s new hero and a new Warscroll, Druanti’s Wraithkin. Let’s take a look, starting with the big boss.

The Arch-Revenant is a capable combatant in their own right, but where this avenging spirit really shines is ensconced in a support role where you can get the most out of your Kurnoth rerolls and boosting your melee attacks with your command ability. And you’ll find a great way to set up that support is with Druanti’s Wraithkin:

Render your units immune to Battleshock as long as your near the Arch-Revenant which is where you’ll want to be anyway (because of the aforementioned buffs). It’s pretty straightforward to run, but that’s okay when you think about what the box is. It’s an introduction to the Gloomspite and the Sylvaneth. It shores up one of the weaknesses of the Sylvaneth–their low model count. Every fighter you don’t lose to battleshock is a pretty solid advantage. It also teaches you to keep to your support network, which is what makes the Sylvaneth work.

All in all, they’re a fairly straightforward army, and we’re looking forward to seeing what else you’ll find when Battletome: Sylvaneth releases (which should be fairly soon). So stay tuned, BoLS fans.

And if you picked up or pre-ordered Looncurse, enjoy! Let us know what you think in the comments!
