If you’re looking to play one of the creepiest warbands in Warcry, take a closer look at the unmade – if you dare!

When it comes to going all out on the creep-wagon, The Unmade warband is attempting to take the cake (and succeeding). Then again, if you worshiped the powers of Chaos and lived in the Realm of Death, you’d probably be a little messed-up too. We knew this warband was some kind of special when we saw their introduction video:

Well today, GW is showing us all a bit more about these ghoulish cultists who drink Nightmare Fuel. Let’s take a better look at what these creepers do on the tabletop.

Keypoints

They Are Numerous – They can run a ton of “cheap” fighters. If you want to overwhelm your opponent with a horde of bodies the Unmade might be for you.

They Are Sneaky – The Unmade have some nasty tricks they can pull that can turn their lowly Awakened Ones into deadly combatants. Underestimate them at your own peril!

They are Terrifying – These models have a mega-dose of Creep Factor and that is something that shouldn’t be forgotten. There is something downright unsettling about seeing a horde of these models charging at your own forces.

Key Fighters

First up we have the leader of the Warband. Known as “The Blissful One” this character is a big fan of body modification. And they aren’t afraid to share their hobby with unsuspecting victims. Looking at the stats, you can see this model is FAST. With a move speed of 8, it will be in your face before you know it. Once it’s in your face, The Blissful One has 5 attacks and criticals do a massive 6 damage! This warrior does not mess around.

We mentioned the Awakened Ones before but this little guy with the spear is kinda mean! First of 60 points per model is very cheap. He’s not the fastest or toughest warrior on the tabletop, but when you can run 2-3 of them for the cost of 1 enemy model, that starts to add up quickly. The Awakened One also has a 2″ range for their attacks so they can keep enemies at range. Really when you’re running them, you’re hoping for those crits for the 4 damage. That’s a spikey surprise!

Abilities

Warband-wide, the Unmade have the ability to use Nightmarish Visage. Remember when we said they were Terrifying? Well, that wasn’t hyperbole. With this ability, any model in the warband can attempt to force an enemy fighter to freeze in place. That’s the power of fear!

Flaying Frenzy is another mean ability. When you activate this ability, roll a single die for each enemy fighter within 3″. 1-2 does nothing. 3-4 does 1 point of damage to that fighter. But on a 5-6, you do damage equal to the value of this ability. So, if you got triple 3s, you’d do 9 damage. If you got triple 6s, you’d do 18! You get the idea.
