With the official announcement for Eberron: Rising from the Last War out now, a few more details and clarifications have come out–including new orcs!

That’s right folks, Eberron: Rising from the Last War is officially announced and November 19th can’t come soon enough. In the wake of the announcement, even more details have come out regarding what exactly you’ll find inside the book, including hints of a new version of playable orcs and a gorgeous new alt-cover.

First things first, as players pointed out, the information contained in Wayfinder’s Guide to Eberron will be included in Eberron, but there’s a good deal more coming with that, as Jeremy Crawford, lead rules designer for 5th Edition points out:

320 pages is a fitting number, seeing as how that’s the same number of pages of the original 3rd Edition campaign setting book, which should give you an indication of just how much content they’ll be able to cram in there. But even the content that’s being included isn’t necessarily a retread of existing material, as Crawford points out, playable goblins, bugbears, hobgoblins, and orcs will be included. And while some of these will be the same as their counterparts in Volo’s Guide to Monsters, there are changes a-brewing.

As well as the final, revised version of the Artificer that has been through playtesting and had the community’s feedback built into it. But we can also find a beautiful alternate cover designed by Vance Kelly which casts Eberron in all its deco-glory. All the alt-covers in D&D are gorgeous, but this one takes the cover concept in a whole other direction.

With just a single image, you can get the whole concept of Eberron. This is just fantastic–and will release in your friendly local game store on November 19th, along with the regular version of the book, which you can pick up anywhere. Both versions appear to retail for $49.95 at this point–so get pre-ordering if you want to secure your copy ahead of the rush.
