We’re taking a closer look inside the new Monsters & Mercenaries book as well as a pair of boxes for the beasties you can recruit!

Warcry fans, this is your weekend! Monsters & Mercenaries is a new book coming to expand your campaigns and open up some new options you can add to your Warband Roster. I hope you like BIG monsters cause this book is packed with lots of them:

Monsters, Mercs, & Even More Campaign Options

One of the key things about this release is that this book in particular adds some great new side-quests for your Warcry Warband to attempt. These Challenges are specific scenarios you play against a specific list of advesary models. Now, you’ll have to find a buddy to run the adversary warband for you, but you basically take your list as the challenger and fight vs the adversary. If you win the battle, you get access to spoils. These spoils can range from one-time buffs to upgrades, to even the ability to add the defeated monster to your warband! And some of those monsters are quite literally BEASTS on the tabletop.

The Chimera kit is also featured in the video and it’s neat – it’s not a new model, but it’s be reboxed for Warcry and has additional rules for use in your games. It comes with cards and stats and we can verify that it’s one tough monsters to tackle.

Also in the video we show off the sprues for the Fury/Raptorx models. The Raptorx models aren’t my favorite – but the Furies are a much welcome addition to the AoS/Warcry line. Fans have been waiting for new Chaos Furies since before the End Times and they are finally here for purchase outside of the Starter Set.

This weekend promises to really expand your Warcry World with these additions. The Monsters & Mercs book is certainly worth a look as it’s got missions and mercs for every single warband in the game – including the non-Warcry Warband boxes (like Stormcasts, Nighthaunt, etc). So if you’re playing Warcry and want to explore some new options, then check out this book!
