It looks like GW is planning up updating a couple of models per faction during Psychic Awakening. Here’s who needs it most:

We already know that Psychic Awakening will be a multi-volume series that will touch upon many of the factions in the game. We’ve already seen who’s getting updated in Volume 1. With those datapoints in mind here’s our list of who we think GW should update during the giant campaign:

Here’s the official chart of who’s getting updated:

Known Updates

Eldar – Jain Zar, Banshees (duh)

Drukhari – Drazhar, Incubi (duh)

Future Plastic Updates?

With that in mind, let’s go through our handy Finecast Census and pick out the models we think are most deserving or likely to get some love in plastic. Right off the bat, 40K has a lot of old finecast Characters, and in both cases of Craftworld and Drukhari we see a pattern of a single unit and a corresponding character. We will try to keep with that pattern where we can, and then select characters based on the “sweet spot” of popular rules and old models. This one can be tricky choice because we want old models that really need to be updated, but also leave uber-popular ones for a future codex update.
