Warhammer 40K: Psychic Awakening – Second Warzone Opens
The Psychic Awakening story event in Warhammer 40,000 is moving forward – the next battlezone has been revealed!
The next battlezone has been revealed by GW for Psychic Awakening and it looks like it’s going to be the Imperium facing off against some of their oldest foes! In case you missed the news, here’s the video to start:

And when you visit the Psychic Awakening Website, the map has been updated as well:
We now have the Sisters of Battle Icon on the galactic west showing up. Coupled with the teaser video and this new map update, you can tell who’s going to be a big player in chapter 2 of the Psychic Awakening. But let’s take a closer look at that location on the galactic map:
It sure looks like this map is getting closer to Terra and Mars. The battleground looks like it’s even inside the Segmentum Solar!
This comparison shows some of the big planets in the area. In that particular sector we are pretty close to Armageddon which is the site of more than a few famous campaigns. While this icon is slightly to the south west of Armageddon it still has some implications. During the Third War for Armageddon, the Salamanders (who actually helped defend the planet twice), Black Templars and the White Scars had forces on world – even the Sisters of Battle were a part of the fighting.
This planet is also significant to the forces of chaos. During the First War for Armageddon, Angron and his World Eaters were defeated by a combined force of the Imperial Guard, Space Wolves, and Grey Knights. In fact, Angron was actually banished for 100 years and a day. That time limit has probably long since ended as well…

This area has a LOT of forces condensing on it. And it already has a major planet nearby. And both the Imperium and Chaos have some strong reasons to fight over that area. Are we about to see a Fourth War for Armageddon? Or will we see a new planet of importance pop-up as the fight over this sector draws closer to Terra and Mars? Something is stirring – they aren’t calling it the “Psychic Awakening” for nothing!
