There’s a new weekly magazine coming for Age of Sigmar fans in the UK and Spain. With paints, terrain, and exclusive minis, there’s a lot to love.

Age of Sigmar players in Spain and the United Kingdom will soon have a lot to look forward to. A new magazine is launching that will bring models, minis, terrain, and paint to your doorstep as you build an army week by week. It’s very much Warhammer 40K Conquest, but for the Age of Sigmar, and like the hobby magazine which has been building up to a confrontation with Deathguard and Ultramarines, the new magazine, Mortal Realms, is all set to build two forces: Stormcast Eternals and Nighthaunts.

Subscribers to the magazine will also be able to grab an exclusive Stormcast model, the Knight-Incantor Xandria Azurebolt, who is quite possibly an evil villain in a sci-fi serial from the 50s, or a fashion model five years from now. Per GW’s announcement:

Each issue will include detailed step-by-step guides for building and painting your new models, as well as extensive background material that will introduce you to the magical landscapes, bold heroes and great battles of the Mortal Realms.

Essentially these magazines are a step by step guide to getting started in the Age of Sigmar. You’ll pick up a magazine, get whatever sprues are with it, find guides for building and painting them, along with a little lore to provide context for whatever it is you’re building. And then you’ll get rules, starting with the most basic steps of the game in a simple “tutorial level” and then building to battleplans which get you right into the game. Here’s a look at all the models in the magazine’s collection:

Eventually you’ll get a full army (and plenty f terrain to play it on). This is all released in partnership with Hatchette Publishing, who have been taking care of Conquest as well. If you’re looking to get into playing AoS or know someone who is, this makes a great gift. And if you subscribe now, you’ll get exclusive gifts for signing on.

No word on when, or even if something like this is coming to the North America or other markets. So keep watch if that’s something you’re looking forward to.

Happy collecting!
