Come join us as we go through the new Citadel Hobby Tools–we’re showing off the new red painting handle, the paint pot holders, and the new painting stick.

As the days get shorter, the nights get colder, and winter closes in, it’s the perfect time to spend an evening away from the encroaching cold and instead tucked away in the warmth of your own home or wherever your hobby room is, with your favorite miniatures, several pots of paint, and the determination that this time you won’t have to pull the old “I’m playing Grey Knights” routine when you show up with a bunch of unpainted plastic.

And what better way to strive against the inertia of laziness and procrastination than by making sure you’ve got the best tools and accessories for the job you’re definitely going to do. Today we’ve got a look at the new Citadel Hobby tools, which are pretty delightful.

First things first, the new handle. The only difference is that now there’s a Red One that says Citadel Colour on it, so if you want to make one of your minis feel better than all the rest, you absolutely can. And we all know that red onez go fasta. So there’s that.

But the surprising shining star of the bunch is the new paint pot holders, which are super useful. They hold the pots surprisingly well, and as you can see in the video, it’s fairly robust and grippy to both your table and the paint pots. Then there’s the paint stick:

Which comes with fifty or so rubber bands so you can snap your minis in place and prime them easily for that beautiful mauve and neon orange paint scheme you’ve been dreaming of.

Both of these are up for pre-order now and out next week, so if you’re looking to get a leg up on your hobby projects, this is a great time to get on that.
