Forge World has had a lot of strange vehicles – but these combine strange looks with strange rules. Check out of 5 favorite Freaky Forge World Vehicles!

When you’re looking for that “little something extra” for your collection Forge World has a vast array of kits you typically don’t see every day. Today, we’ve reached deep into the catalogue to dredge up some of the strangest vehicles that are both eye-catching and have rules that match.

Hades Breaching Drill

This one is kind of like a poor-man’s Terrax Pattern Termite Assault Drill. And by poor-man, we really just mean Imperial Guardsman. This drill is basically pushed by the squad and allows them to “pop-up” along with the drill later. What makes this thing strange is that it also does some bonus attacks and damage to any Building structures. It is both an oddity and a rarity!

Cyclops Demolition Vehicle

No, you’re not looking at a repurposed Leman Russ from Epic – this tiny tank is the Cyclops Demolition Vehicle. It’s rules and it’s a very strange one – this is a tracked bomb! It’s job in life is to roll-up on a target and detonate. The catch is that it can’t have advanced on that turn (the detonation is basically a shooting attack). It auto hits with 2D6 “shots” on any unit (friend of foe) within D6″ of the model when it goes boom. It’s profile is a mean str 9, -2 AP, D3 damage, too. It’s a tiny package that can pack quite a punch!

Necron Canoptek Tomb Stalker/Sentinel

This one is a bit more on the freaky looking than rules wise (although it’s still an oddity). First off, when assembling this one, you can do some pretty crazy poses thanks to it’s segmented hull. We’ve seen some pretty impressive builds! But this centipede-type Necron has the ability (in both the Stalker and the Sentinel versions) to shut down Psychic Powers. That’s thanks to a Gloom Prism. Not only that, but it can also deploy using the Phase Tunneling rule. It’s a tricky metal bug to pin down!

Eldar Lynx

The Lynx is such a weird and wonderful Eldar Vehicle. What makes it freaky is that it can go from a Hover Tank to a straight-up flyer! Not unlike Robotech’s Veritech fighter that go from a humanoid to a plane (and something in between). While it doesn’t physically transform, the swap from hover mode to flight mode is not something you typically see – and that’s what makes this one truly freaky!

Grot Tank Battle Mob

Equal parts hilarious and orky, these Grot Tanks are just that – Grot versions of battle tanks! I know what you’re thinking, “Oh those are cute. But it’s a bunch of grots. Ha-ha.”  That’s partly true – but do NOT underestimate them. Don’t forget that Grots are the orks that can actually shoot decent with a +4 BS. And these tanks pack in the dakka. Plus, when was the last time you saw a Grot with a Toughness of 5 and 4 wounds and a 4+ save? Did that get your attention? Oh, one last thing…they also come with a 6+ Invulnerable save. So ya, these are freaky tough for Grots. aren’t they?

What are some of your favorite units with a freaky look or freaky rules from Forge World?
