We are seeing lots of changes lately due to COVID-19. Things at Firelock Games are no different. Today, we see them pushing forward through the waves of these uncertain times through the internet. How exactly so? Well, Firelock Games goes digital with more offerings this week.

Oak & Iron on Tabletop Simulator

The guys at Firelock Games just put their newest miniatures game, Oak & Iron, onto Tabletop Simulator. For those that don’t know, Tabletop Simulator is a program that allows you to play board games and miniatures games virtually.

It is a very neat concept. Unfortunately, I am not the best person to talk about it because I don’t play computer games much anymore. Once I start, I don’t want to stop, so I limit myself to physical games and iOS games only. They are easier to walk away from. That said, I am not going to let that stop me from sharing with you a free mod for a tabletop simulator product. Maybe you even already have Tabletop Simulator on your computer. If so, you could start playing right away for free!

A look at Oak & Iron on Tabletop Simulator.

If you can’t get together physically, I see no reason why  playing this game virtually would be a bad thing. Looks like a nice way to test out the rules or at least get a game or two in.

PDF Offerings

Aside from offering Oak & Iron as a free mod for Tabletop Simulator, the guys at Firelock Games are also releasing their products digitally. You can buy the Blood and Plunder Rulebooks and Blood & Valor straight from their website as PDF files.

New to their digital products are three sets of cards in PDF format that you can use as expansions to your Oak & Iron tabletop game. These are not for tabletop simulator, but instead the real table. Regardless, cool.

Some of these products are also available on the Wargame Vault, but not all of them.

Wrapping it up…

Hopefully you enjoyed this quick post. The point of this article is to bring up some news from Firelock Games. Perhaps you might take advantage of that free mod for Tabletop Simulator or feel like buying some PDFs for your lock-down reading.

Thanks again for reading, and until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!
