GW says new minis and expansions are being revealed next weekend. Here’s the mysteries we think will be unveiled.

GW says that next weekend:

“Speaking of Indomitus, on Saturday we will be hosting a Warhammer 40,000 Launch Party! As well as enjoying the launch of the new edition of Warhammer 40,000, we’ll be previewing some more new models and expansions. Make sure that you join us on Twitch from 1:45 pm (BST).”

So the next set of new minis and some books or sets will be officially unveiled. Here are the current unexplained minis that have been doing the rounds we are looking for:

Necrons Mystery Minis

If you go back and look at the initial Necron army spread from last month, it is mostly announced. But not all.

Many of these guys are in the Indomitus box, and we have already had formal reveals of:

  • Void Dragon
  • Silent King
  • Convergence of Dominion

That still leaves several unknowns:

The big guy in the middle sure looks like a new Monolith to me. Then we have the new bulky Destroyer in the front. Next we have the tall walker on the left with the dorsal cannon. Finally don’t forget about that little guy in the smoke directly behind and to the left of the Monolith.

Perhaps a character or Flayed One?

In any case I count four unannounced units, and let’s forget a new Necron Codex that must certainly accompany all of this stuff.

Space Marine Minis

This list is shorter as we already saw a bunch of the mystery Marine minis like the Biker Chaplain, and Techmarine a couple weeks back. But let’s not forget about this image that has been doing the rounds for a few months:

With hindsight, the bikers at the top are clearly Outriders. So we have a few mysteries:

  • Central Speeder
  • Foreground Tank
  • Rear Dread (maybe…It might be a Redemptor)

Then of course there is always the inevitable Space Marine codex that arrives shortly after every new edition.

I would be looking for some of these to get their official GW moment in the sun this weekend.

More Launch Products

There is also the strong possibility we will see more New Edition launch products. We will certainly get a standalone Core Rulebook, and there is a strong possibility of more and lower priced starter boxes as we saw with 8th Edition.

~What do you think will get officially announced?
