The upcoming Starter Sets have some extra rules for upcoming units also included. Rules leaks confirmed!

A few days ago we saw some images pop-up for the Necrons and the Space Marine units that weren’t released yet. These included the Primaris Invader ATV, the Primaris Firestrike Servo-turret, the Lokhust Heavy Destroyer and Canoptek Doomstalker. Now we have confirmation from Games Workshop that those rules are indeed included in all three versions of the new Starter Sets.

“Thankfully, the manuals included in all three Starter Sets feature some suggested additions for the collections in the boxes. Not only that, but as an added bonus, they also include the full datasheets for these new units as well as an extra mission designed with their inclusion in mind! They may not be available just yet, but keep an eye out for the Primaris Invader ATV, the Primaris Firestrike Servo-turret, the Lokhust Heavy Destroyer and Canoptek Doomstalker, as they’re all coming soon!”

Yep –  you read that right! You’ll get the full datasheets for all 4 of these new units plus an extra mission designed with their inclusion in mind. This is a somewhat unprecedented step from GW. We’ve never seen them include missions in a Starter Set that were designed for use with models that weren’t included in the Starter Set. That said, it’s also obvious that GW realized there would be a delay between getting these rules out and the models out. You can check the Chapter Approved 2020 points if you don’t believe it.

Why else would GW include the “Indomitus Set” section at the end of the Chapter Approved? Now we also have the Data Sheets for these units in the Starter Sets, too. At this point the only unit listed here that we don’t know where the rules will be located is the Primaris Chaplain on Bike.

We’re fully expecting to see all these units and everything else that GW has hinted at included in the upcoming codexes. Perhaps they are holding off on releasing those models until October. Or we might see some splash releases in between now and when the codexes are in stores. As mentioned in previous articles, there are a lot of Post-Indomitus Models for both the Space Marines and the Necrons on the way. GW has a lot of wiggle room for their release dates.

If you want to get your hands on the rules for these four units early then get a copy of one of the Starter Sets – Recruit, Elite, or Command Edition.
