When you need hard-hitting, fast moving, objective-taking units then you need to call in the bikes.

If you’ve been looking at the missions for 9th edition and wondering how you’re going to take all those objectives then we’ve got some suggestions for you – and it all involves bikes! Not only are they fast and tough, bikers are going to be able to take those objectives and help prevent those pesky deep striking units from getting too close. Here are five biker units that are going to really shin in 9th edition.

Custodes Jetbikes

However you want to load them out, Custodes on Jetbikes are going to be a unit that must be dealt with. They hit super hard, have good firepower, move fast, and are Custodes Tough (TM). You can’t go wrong with the Emperor’s Golden Boys.

Space Marine Primaris Outriders are another unit that is only going to get better once we get a codex. Sure, they might be limited to 3 per unit now…but you know that when the codex drops, you’re going to be able to take larger squads of them. White Scars versions that will be able to advance and charge are going to be extra spicy!

Tomb Blade

The Necrons are going to be a force in 9th and the Tomb Blades are a sleeper unit that folks won’t be sleeping on for much longer. They are one of the faster units in the Necron book and they pack a punch, too. Don’t be shocked when they start popping up and snagging objectives for their Necron Overlords!

Nob Bikers

An oldie but goodie – Nob Bikers are going to make a come back in a big way (if they ever actually left). While they might not be as nutty as they were back in their glory days, they have it where it counts. They will have the Speed to race out and claim objectives and they have the dakka to force your opponent to duck! Here comes the biker boyz!

Shining Spears

Shining Spears were a stand out unit for the Aeldari back in 8th and they are poised to still cause problems for folks in 9th. They aren’t losing a step in 9th and with the new Terrain rules, they are only going to be easier to hide. Watch out for these units to either snag an objective early or sit back and make a mad dash when an opening arrives. Shining Spears are here to stay!

Get ready for the Biker Rally to show-up on your tabletop. What are some other units you think will fit the biker bill in 9th?
