It looks like the Redemptor Dreadnought is also getting an overhaul in the new edition. Take a look.

This image from a miniature assembly guide has been doing the rounds on Facebook and some Forums today. This is the assembly sheet from the recently reboxed 9th edition Redemptor kits. While the main unit itself is pretty similar, a lot of its weapons are quite different!

All New Redemptor Dreadnought

The main statline is unchanged, as is its degraded performance when damaged. Moving on.

Updated Weapons:

  • Heavy flamer changes to S:6 (note we have seen other Heavy Flamers with a 12″ range)
  • Heavy Onslaught Gatling Cannon changes from S:5 to S:6
  • Macro Plasma Incinerator changes from D:1 to D:2
  • Onslaught Gatling Cannon changes from Heavy:6 to Heavy:8
  • Redemptor Fist changes from Damage:D6 to Damage:+3 (no idea???)

Notes

This is the short assembly instructions stats, so it’s missing all the detailed datasheet rules.

This is a really weird one. It contains things like the 8″ Heavy Flamers with different stats to the 12″ Heavy Flamer seen in the Terminator sheet. It has things like Stormbolters retaining a 24″ range, while normal bolters on the company Command Squad go up to 30″. It’s a very odd mish-mash of weapons we’ve seen before. Perhaps we will see some of these weapons renamed as special variants just for the Redemptor?

The cherry on top is the Redemptor Fist’s damage of “+3”  It could be a misprint for Damage:3, or for Damage:D3. It might be a modifier like the Melta family has.  In short this entire sheet is really funky and we will need to see clarification in the full Marine Codex.
