Nothing is better than getting together a bunch of nerds for a weekend of good times and games. Except for doing that and having it benefit a great cause.

Last week’s D&D Celebration Event was a perfect place for tabletop gaming enthusiasts from around the world to electronically gather for three packed days of the hobby we all have in common. Between exciting announcements and reveals regarding the future of D&D and panels by some of the most talented and well known players, writers, and DMs in the game, and of course numerous opportunities to sign up for and jump into a game of your own, there was more than a little something for everyone.

But there was one quiet, though arguably most important, aspect of D&D Celebration that we would be remiss to overlook.

Partnering with Extra Life, Wizards of the Coast and D&D Celebration raised more than $240,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to fund critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and care for children around North America.

If you weren’t able to tune in live for D&D Celebration, fear not! You can still watch (or rematch) all of the great programming and panels they had to offer on the Dungeons and Dragons YouTube channel and possibly more importantly you can still make a charitable contribution to benefit kids in need on the Extra Life website.
