Goatboy here, I have decided to jump into Primaris Marines, and go full hog into the sea that is White Scars. Take a look.

Goatboy here and this is the list I am currently building to play – whenever I get a chance to go to an event again.  I have decided to jump into Marines, taking the Primaris upgrading, and go full hog into the sea that is White Scars.  This time I forgo going any vehicles and just look at using and abusing some of their Auras to cause as much damage with basic dude bro’s as I can.  Wave after wave of armored guys throwing out seas of elbows, knife jabs, and leg drops of doom.  With that in mind – let’s see how much the army changes with the new book.

Here is my initial Shell – the basic pieces that get the army to work.  We use the Combined Auras of Khan, the Chaplain, and the Ancient to create a bubble of damage dealing doom.  The Apothecary is there as another form of Bubble protection as well as someone who can throw out some heals on my Central Blade Guard unit.  The ability to have those guys move up, be a pain to move, and throw out some damage seems pretty good.  I could remove them for something like Eradicators, or Assault Plasma Hellblasters, or even 2 units of Outriders.

Tactics of Chogoris

This leaves me with 50 points and a few things I could add which I am not sure about.  I could upgrade the Librarian and go for some tricky anti psychics with the -1 to psychic tests, +1 because of the hood, and a chance to do Mortal wounds if they fail.  It isn’t a terrible idea and most likely where I will go.  The Bladeguard Veterans are at a 5 man strong to allow for usage of Transhuman for 1cp versus having to use it for 2.  If I don’t want to go thru all of that I could just remove them and go into Eradicator territory to try and get some melta like firepower. It is all dependent on how I feel as I get a chance to test this out.  Right now it is just missing 5 regular Intercessors that are currently primed on my desk, building 2 Bladeguard Vets, and getting an Apothecary hopefully from my local store.

Overall this army feels pretty neat and looks like an actual marine army.  Full of boots on the floor, bodies to go do some damage, and lots of hammers to bring the pain.
