A new teaser has appeared, full of celestial omens. But do they herald a new DLC–or does this sow the seeds for Warhammer 3?

Summon the Elector Counts, there’s a new teaser in town, and with it comes news that has the community astir. For as the heavens move, and the stars align, it looks like something big is coming to Total War: Warhammer 2. The question remains: is it a new DLC? Or is this the first teaser for Warhammer 3? Let’s take a look!

Here we go. This video, titled Azyr Stirs appeared this past Friday on the official total War Youtube Channel. As you watch through it, a Celestial Wizard is observing the heavens, muttering to himself about all sorts of dark portents. A few of them seem to indicate what lies in store for Total War: Warhammer. The first of these are indicators that outline Kislev and Khorne and Dwarves. After all, our wayward astrologer here talks about being drunk with rage–surely a sign of the blood god.

And he also mentions Grugni’s Baldric, though that might not be specific to the Dwarves. All manner of people benefit from the god of miners. But to the question at hand, what does this teaser portend, many wonder if it signifies something bigger. This is the first animated teaser like this we’ve seen for Total War Warhammer, which has many wondering if this isn’t the first in a series of teasers to unveil Total War: Warhammer 3.

We do know that TW: Warhammer 3 is due out sometime this year. So it stands to reason that CA might want to start generating hype. There have been some soft “rumors” that have folks in a tizzy about the possibility of the sequel to the game. We won’t know for sure until later–but Newsday Tuesday is going to be a big one for the Total War: Warhammer Franchise, so be sure and check back then for more updates.

What do you think the teaser signals?
