When you’re going up against Necromancers and Vampires, it might not be a bad thing to have one who’s studied with them on your side. Meet Octren Glimscry!

The Cursed City of Ulfenkarn wasn’t always so bad. It’s had a bit of a chaos problem. And then a Vampire moved in to “help” and ended up taking over. That same Vampire also recruited some smart help. One such member who signed on with the Undead crew is Torgillius the Chamberlain.

But even Torgillius wasn’t always a Vampire’s main Necromancer. Before everything got all zombie-movie, Torgillius was a wizard and researcher who had spent years studying the magical properties of the grave-sand. And he didn’t do that work alone.

One of his former friends and colleagues is Octren Grimscry – another Wizard and studier of the mysteries of the Shyish. So who better to join the fight against the denizens of the Cursed City?!

“Octren spent many decades delving into the mysteries of the Realm of Death. Along with Torgillius, he experimented with grave-sand, seeking the secrets of immortality. But the now-chamberlain stole his research and fled to Ulfenkarn. To rub salt into Octren’s wounds, his former friend then perfected their work. You might not be able to see it behind his death mask, but Octren is furious.

Now Octren has followed his former friend to the Cursed City, and he’s going to use his many lifetimes of experience to track down Torgillius. We don’t imagine it’s to present him with an award for services to science either.”

It’s going to be very interesting to see these two former friends square off in the Cursed City. One side has an army of undead and vampires to fight while the other is a set of 8 brave (or foolish) heroes who are looking to tackle the evil empire. However, while Octren Glimscry is looking to get some pay back on Torgillius, one does have to wonder about his true motives. Is he there just right the wrongs of his research getting used in this way or is looking to take his journey into Undead a tad further…

What do you think? Will you trust Octren on your team or will you keep an eye or two on this wizard?
