Catch up on the Fast Saga on the big screen for free – even Tokyo Drift – starting this Friday.

The franchise started to get the street racing trend onto the big screen in its ninth movie. It’s gone from cars sliding under 18-wheelers and fists fights to tanks and submarines. Through those changes, it’s always been about one thing: family. And Universal Pictures wants to thank the F&F community. Jim Orr, president of Universal’s theatrical distribution, talked to EW about the plan…

“The Fast films are all about family, and Universal wanted to find a way to thank our huge family of Fast fans around the country for their passion and loyalty over the past 20 years,” says Jim Orr, Universal’s president of domestic theatrical distribution. “We’re grateful to our theater partners for their help in making this screening series possible, and we are delighted to welcome audiences back to theaters to experience the wild Fast ride all over again. And we cannot wait to blow everyone’s minds with the release of F9 on June 25.”

Starting this Friday, you’ll be able to catch up on the franchise for free with ‘Fast Fridays.’ The first eight movies will be shown in over 500 theaters across the country – including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark. Check your local listings…

  • April 30 – The Fast and the Furious
  • May 7 – 2 Fast 2 Furious
  • May 14 – The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
  • May 21 – Fast & Furious
  • May 28 – Fast Five
  • June 4 – Fast & Furious 6
  • June 11 – Furious 7
  • June 18 – The Fate of the Furious

F9 debuts on June 29th – and is even more outlandish and action-packed than its predecessors. Justin Lin is back in the driver’s seat, and the core cast is back – with the addition of John Cena, Cardi B, Sung Kang, and Ozuna. The story will take the crew all over (and above) the globe and expect to see old friends and enemies show up.

Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob.
