Today we take the followers of Slaanesh out for a tabletop party. Both the mortals and the daemonic sides of the family.

Goatboy here again and that line came out of some Facebook nonsense and I just had to use it.  This has been a long year and yes – I am so ready to party down on the tabletop with some dice, Plastic Dudesmen, and forgetting my rules.

Today’s list is looking at the red headed step child of the game right now – Chaos Space Marines.  They have a ton of weird rules interactions, some extremely efficiently cheap units, and surprisingly good Strats.  Of course, those probably won’t stay with us whenever we get the new book (***CHIRPS*** saying maybe in a few months).  I guess we should just wait to see some updated “stats” sheets showing up in boxed sets.

But enough of that – let’s get into the list.  Right now Chaos Terminators are pretty dang cheap.  10 of them with Combi-Bolters and Lightning Claws runs ya 280pts.  Mark em Slaanesh, throw on an Icon of Excess (Solid GOOOLD), and get them set up as one of your favorite pink/purple based legions.  That’s right – we are going Emperor’s Children the Warp Dust loving, constantly rumored to get a Daemonic Primarch, where are my dang full plastic Noise Marines, and one the cooler Legions in the book.  They have some good Strats and since this is an oldish book – I can throw in some Daemons and 3 Daemon Princes.  It’s been a while and the Daemon Prince daddy needs to write an army list with as many as I can play with now.

With that – let’s begin!

Tactics of Temptation

That’s right – I didn’t want to save any CP from my Daemon Detachment.  I  think I just wanted a super Daemon Prince for Chaos Space Marines and thought – eh, how many CP do I need?  I wish I could give more Combat Elixirs to the rest of the Terminators – but one is seriously on the stuff.  This army’s plan is to move up – then drop in 30 Terminators for armies to deal with.  These guys are so cheap that you can easily put all 3 in reserves.  The Daemon Princes – since they just allow a flat reroll to most of the army – will come in handy as bullies that can jump around.

Party, Party, Party!!!

It is frustrating as both of these armies are missing some of the common Strats we see in the other books out – things like extra Warlord traits, easier access Relics, and some extra upgrades.  I get the feeling if we ever see an Emperor’s Children book will see a less impressive combat drugs option – but more people can take it.  We’ll see.  Heck, I would love to see actual Cult Terminators at some point.

Anyway – get that shot, get ready to party, and throw some dice on the tabletop.
