The Ad Mech Onager Dunecrawler is back with an updated set of rules for 9th edition. Take a look.

This image from a miniature assembly guide has been doing the rounds. It appears to be from a new repacked set of Adeptus Mechanicus Onager Dunecrawler.  It is all over Reddit, and various forums.

Updated Onager Dunecrawler

Some items from the updated statlines& weapons:

Onager Dunecrawler

  • Statline is unchanged
  • Cognis Heavy Stubber changes from Heavy 3 to Assault 4
  • Eradication Beamer short-ranged shot changes from 12″ to 18″, AP is improved by 1 in both cases, and damage is fixed from D3 to 2, and from D6 to 3
  • Neutron Laser changes from S:10 to S:12 and D:D6 to D:D3+3
  • Twin Heavy Phosphor Blaster changes from Heavy 6 to Heavy 8, and D:1 to D2

Notes

This is an increase in lethality across the board. The Dunecrawler has no statline changes, so its durability is identical, but some of those weapons are throwing out a lot more damage. In particular, the Phosphor blaster is outputting more than double damage, while the Neutron laser is slightly more effective versus the big stuff.

In the smaller weapons, we continue to see the 9th Edition change of changing swingy random damage to fixed amounts, and the Adeptus Mechanicus trend of moving smaller calibre Heavy weapons to Assault. That codex must be just around the corner.

All hail the Omnissiah!
