Wily enough to catch even the Millennium Falcon, come and take a gander at the galaxy’s most famous bounty hunter ship–Slave I!

Slave I might be one of the most infamous starships in the galaxy. The signature ship of the legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett, Slave I has a storied history in the service of the Fetts. From its humble origins as a Firespray-31 class patrol and attack craft, Slave I has been heavily modified under both its owners. Though the chassis is the same, almost every other piece of the ship has been modified, upgraded, or replaced entirely.

The Slave I & Jango Fett

Jango Fett first modified the Kuat Systems Engineering craft well beyond original specifications. He added superior Shielding Technology, upgraded its engine output, and increasing the precision of the onboard blaster cannons. And that was just the exterior. Internally, Jango Fett modified the former patrol craft for long-term space missions. That allowed the bounty hunter to pursue prey across the Rim. And speaking of prey, the older Fett also reconfigured the regulation cages, used for holding prisoners, into coffin-like cabinets that could better control captives.

Piloted by Boba Fett

Boba Fett would prove the old adage, like father, like son to be true. When he came into possession of his father’s old ship, Slave I became a force to be reckoned with. Boba Fett improved upon his father’s designs, adding even more hidden weaponry to the ship. Including a set of seismic charges, concealed proton torpedo tubes, and concussion missile launchers. He also added ion cannons and an upgraded tractor beam projector. Internally, Boba Fett adapted the prisoner cages into six immobilizing bunks. That way, the bounty hunter to catch any target and keep them almost indefinitely.

Slave I was a relentless ship, capable of great bursts of initial speed. Though its real secret weapon employed was a secret military sensor. This allowed the ship to mask its presence from most other ships. This is how Boba Fett was able to track the Millennium Falcon to Cloud City and work with Darth Vader to set up an ambush for Luke Skywalker while at the same time, capturing Han Solo.

Later, Star WarsSlave I would be used on behalf of Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin. Meanwhile, Boba Fett helped the other hunter track down Moff Gideon and rescue Grogu from captivity.
