There’s a new TIE on the way and it’s going to sneak in and blow you away! Get dialed in with the new TIE/wi.

Atomic Mass Games is back with another preview for Star Wars: X-Wing. It’s a brand new TIE/wi Whisper Modified and it’s racing ahead to destroy anyone else foolish enough to get in the way.

“The TIE/wi Whisper Modified is a new addition to the First Order, bringing aspects of other TIE variants together into a potent combination of maneuverability and firepower. New tech upgrades like Sensor Scramblers will enable ace pilots like “Wrath” to get in position to deliver devastating firepower to multiple targets.”

As you can see above, this is a First Order take on the classic TIE Interceptor. It’s been modified quite a bit and from the looks of the base, appears to “only” have a bullseye firing arc. I hope you’re ready to be pin-point accurate with your dial options. Speaking of dials…

Do you want maneuvers? Because this ship has them. Fun enough, the one thing it doesn’t do is go slow. It really shines in options in the 2-3 band but it has the ability to cut loose and hit the gas with 4s and 5s. It’s going to be a tricky one to anticipate.

Here’s a look at one of the Aces. “Wrath” sure is the Herald of Destruction. The ship’s ability allows you to have a Heavy Weapon Turret as well – so while the “main” gun is a bullseye, you’ve got the ability to fire in the forward or rear arc (with a turret). And look at that action bar! Whole lot of white and no red actions means you’re going to zipping around without causing yourself stress.

Sensor Scramblers is going to help this TIE/wi get where it needs to be and get that all important first volley off. Pick your target, get in position and strike!

What do you think of this new TIE/wi Whisper Modified Interceptor?
