The vehicles in the Ork Army are about to get both tougher and weirder. How? We’re about to find out.

There is a new Ork Codex on the way and that means more orky goodness and changes ahead. Today, we’re getting a bit more info on just how the vehicles are going to change. Starting things off is a pretty big change to the Ramshackle rule.

Ramshackle Rework

This mirrors one of the new rules we say earlier this week where strength 8 weapons aren’t quite as effective vs certain orks. There are LOTS of Orky vehicles that will have the Ramshackle rule. But maybe not all of them…According to GW:

“Not every vehicle counts as Ramshackle, however. Stompas, Gorkanauts, and Morkanauts are obviously all too precision-engineered. Don’t worry, though – they’re improving in plenty of other ways.”

Stompas, as a example, are getting a drop in Power rating from 46 down to 34 points. That translates to a point drop of 175 points down to 675. Combined with the changes to Dakka weapons, you might actually see a Stompa show up in more competitive lists now, too.

What about Gorkanauts and Morkanauts? Well those have received an increase in their wounds stat – up from 18 to now 24! Their Klaw of Gork (or maybe Mork) does a flat 6 damage instead of D6 damage as well. With these changes, they are no longer Heavy Support however – they are now Lords of War!

Beast Snaggas Rigs

That’s not all either. The new Beast Snagga Rigs are also getting a teasery preview today as well. They might not be vehicle in the traditional sense…but they got the Squig Power to be VERY orky!

How about some stat-lines?

That’s quite the profile and a whole slew of weapon options, too. The Kill Rig certainly lives up to the name! And those aren’t exactly tiny Orks on the top either, this model is going to be BIG. Pre-orders of the Ork Army box go up tomorrow and it’s your first crack at the new ork models as well as the Ork codex. If you want one, you might want to set an alarm…
