Games Workshop teases another member of the new Khorne Team with some very blood artwork.

When GW revealed the new Khorne Blood Bowl Team at GenCon 2021, I was impressed with the models. The new team looks fantastic and the blood-seeking warriors “players” on the Khorne Team do seem like a natural fit on the Blood Bowl Pitch. Hopefully they can get over their bloodlust long enough to actually score a touchdown. Also, woe to their opponents as the Khorne team is going to bring the hits for sure.

Having said all that, we kind of thought Games Workshop was done with the reveal. But today, they have teased yet another member of the team that will most likely show up at a later date. Check this out:

via Warhammer Community

“The most favoured of Khorne teams may even supplement their line-up of Bloodborn Marauder Linemen, Khorngors, and Bloodseekers with a Bloodspawn – a hulking mutant swollen with the Blood God’s unholy power. These monstrous brutes are capable of tearing players limb from limb in a raging frenzy, or even disemboweling an Ogre with one of their elongated bone spurs.”

Meet the Bloodspawn! Clearly this is a chaos beasty/mutant that has been hitting the gym – or at least been experiencing ‘Roid Rage. Khorne should be proud of this one. While the Bloodspawn doesn’t currently have a model, you can kind of tell how this one is going to go. Sporting a chain and some rather alarming bone-spurs jutting out of it’s skin, the Bloodspawn is likely going to be a big ol’ bruiser on the pitch.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long before we get a look at the rules for the whole team – including this brutal looking player. Spike Journal thirteen should be out later this year and that’s where you’ll find the rules for the new Khorne Team!

Anyone else curious about the rules for this brutal team? I’d hate to be on the receiving end of a khorne beatdown…
