Games Workshop: Rumor Engine – Bring Down The Hammer
There’s a new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop and someone’s about to go full Hammer Time.
Well maybe not full Hammer Time – baggy pants aren’t included. Either way, it’s Tuesday which means it’s time to check out the new Rumor Engine. We’ve got theories, but first, take a look for yourself:
“The Rumour Engine assures us that its pictures are plucked from a certain future, and that we aren’t barking up a tree that may never actually exist. Take this one, for example.”
It’s gotta be chaos, right? And not just any Chaos, it’s got to be something Iron Warriors or Dark Mechanicus related, right!? It’s clearly a hammer. but it’s got a weird vent on it – probably a Thunderhammer chaos variant. But it’s also got tendrils. That sure looks like a chaos thing to me.
There are a few different ways GW could take this one. As mentioned, the Dark Mechanicus thing is pretty obvious. Anytime chaos gets a new daemon engine its related to those fellows. But this one is just SOOO Dark Mechanicus!
On the other hand (which happens to be iron) this could totally be an Iron Hands “thing” for new kit or character. I could see it going either way. GW has the new Iron Within series coming from Warhammer+ so this could be a tie-in for that. Or it could be like the Lord Discordant and be a more generic kit for Chaos Space Marines.
