Warhammer Underworlds: Who Else is Headed Our Way in Season 5?
GW told us Kruleboyz are headed to Warhammer Underworlds in Season 5. Here’s who else should be coming with them.
Epic battlefields aren’t the only place to find the mighty heroes and vile villains of the Age of Sigmar universe; small warbands of warriors battle for supremacy and magical artifacts all across the Realms, from the haunted city of Shadespire to a living mountain.
Where it all began
Underworlds has had four successful seasons, and now we know a fifth is on the way soon, with the Orruk Kruleboyz leading the charge. But with all the other exciting updates in AoS 3.0, we have to wonder who else is coming to the skirmish battlefield, so here are 3 armies I hope we see in Underworlds.
New Stormcast
With the new Thunderstrike Stormcast making their debut in Dominion, it makes perfect sense that one of the first entrants into the Underworlds battlefield. The new armor will look awesome on the small scale of Underworlds, and having an Annihilator as a special bruiser would be awesome. Plus, with the updates to Gryph Hounds, it would be awesome to see another bird dog join the battle alongside Swiftclaw.
Minotaurs
Unlikely though it may be, I’d love to see a new side of the Beasts of Chaos represented in the Underworlds. It could even be just two models, a Doombull and a Minotaur, and I would still probably play it just for the novelty. Plus, a warband that hit like a ton of bricks MIGHT mean an updated battletome, which leads me to my last wishlist item…
Umbraneth
I would LOVE to see a force of the Ulgu aelves take Malerion’s whims into Underworlds, and by extension, bring the shadow man himself into the wider game. With all the teasing GW has done for Malerion’s faction, this would be an awesome way to introduce them. After all, it worked pretty well in Warcry; Underworlds is just the next logical step.
