‘Peacemaker’s New Team is Unimpressed by His Toilet Seat Helmet
John Cena’s ridiculously fun character makes a memorable first impression on his new team.
HBO Max just released the first look at the upcoming Peacemaker series. The hilariously misguided anti-hero meets up with his new ARGUS team at a diner. But the new team cant’ resist the temptation to give him a good roasting.

Thanks to The Suicide Squad‘s post-credits scene, we learned that Peacemaker is alive and is getting his own spinoff series. Teaming up with members of A.R.G.U.S., DC’s best bucket-headed hero will supposedly be recruited to defend against a world-wide threat.
In the first released clip of the show, Peacemaker pulls up to a diner to meet his new team. And his entrance certainly stands out. Taking one look at his full-on super costume and helmet, the team is absolutely gagged. They proceed to completely read his outfit, or what he calls his uniform.

We may have also met another new character in the upcoming series, and that is, of course, Peacemaker’s pet bald eagle named Eagley. Owning a bald eagle as a pet certainly feels like on-brand shenanigans for Peacemaker.

Gettin’ on Amanda Waller’s Bad Side
Another meaningful detail in this clip is the looming presence of the DCEU’s covert battle axe, Amanda Waller. When they first catch a look at the goofy anti-hero clad in spandex, they indicate that their boss may be trying to sabotage their team, and they could be right.
Don’t forget, this is a part of the same team that knocked Waller unconscious in order to spare the lives of Task Force X. Fans shouldn’t put it past Waller to have her own motives in forming this team…

The Cast of Peacemaker
In addition to the always-charming John Cena, Peacemaker also brings back Viola Davis as notorious hardass Amanda Waller, Steve Agee as John Economos, and Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt. Joining the series as original characters are Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo.
